Observation Task 7: Classroom management and teacher talk

Beginning and ending the day
Punctuality at the beginning of the lesson	Teacher arrives before the pupils. So, she can prepare for the lessons. And the learners arrive all on time.
Teacher’s response to those who are late. What does she say?	She reacts with a positive reinforcement and say to them where are you?, why you are late?, ooh today you are sleep more than me then kiss him\her and hug him\her.
Starting the day: what does the teacher say? Do?	She sits in the carpet and asks their about the day, the month and the year after that she starts the lesson.
Lining up : location	Inside the class so they can go outside orgnizely.
Teacher instructions for lining up: what does she say? Do?	She said to the children one line for the boys and another one for the girls.
Ending the day: what does the teacher say? /do?	She say clean up who’s sit be quite in the carpet will go the home first and who’s noity for 5 minutes.
Moving
Moving the children for an activity. What does she say? do?	She is clap her hand two times then she said the red or green or yellow group com please to my group and another one with AMT and another group in the creative group.
Moving the children: how do they respond?	They respond to the teacher and do what she said to them.
Misbehavior
What was the learner doing?	He was speaking or moving during the lesson  time.
What did the teacher say? Do?	She said to him that this behavior is bad and she moved him to the punishment’s chair.
How did the child respond:	He did what the teacher said.
How does the teacher stop the children at the end of an activity? What does she say? Do?	Clean up clean up and means that the children have to clean and stop or say freeze and everyone stop to do the activity.

Observation Task 6: A day in the life of a child who has exceeded cognitive level expectations

Brief description: Ahmed is very clever and smart. Also, his ability very higher than his classmate.

9:42 – 10:00	Teacher sits in the carpet with the learners and asks every child number plus number equals and gives who say the right answer cubes.	When the teacher asked Ahmed about 12+1= he answers quickly 13 without using the small pieces of the bear or his fingers.
10:02 – 10:35	Teacher gives the learners papers about the (Plus).	Ahmed started to answer and he was the first one who’s finish.
10:35 – 10:50	Teacher gives Ahmed some difficult questions.	Ahmed started to answer and he was using the pieces bear and his fingers.
10:54 – 11:30	Creative area	Ahmed was the finish from all his tasks then he was gone to play in the creative area.

Observation Task 5: A day in the life of a child who has not reached expected cognitive targets

Name: Wadha                                             Age: 5                   Level: low

Brief description: Wadha like to play with her friends or with herself and she is not focused with the teacher.

Date of observation: 8^th of May - 2015

8:35	The teacher asks about the day, the month and the year.	Wadha still playing but now with her friend and the teacher try to get her attention by open month song and finally Wadha focused with the teacher and try to sing with the song.
8:36-8:45	The teacher opens the count to 100 song.	Wadha sings with the song well and count with the teacher and the learners but till 10 then she is start to dance and don’t focused with the song’s words.
8:49- 8:50	The teacher said for whole the learners to go to their group.	Wadha went quietly to her group.
8:54-9:00	Teacher shows the learners the letter (b) and asked them what that.	Wadha didn’t answer but she was waiting her friends to said (b) then she said after them.
9:02-9:10	Teacher asks about the words of letter (b).	Wadha said the words again after her friends.
9:10-9:20	Writing time	Wadha only wrote the line f letter (b) then she can’t complete then she asked the teacher to help her.
9:25-9:30	Teacher said to Wadha to go to outside area because she is quite.	Wadha was talking and playing with her friends.

After the observation

She interacts with the boys more than the girls. She was talk and play with them and she asked their if she wants some help.

When she wrote the letter (b).

She went outside and she ran, talked and played with her friends.

5.  What did the learner’s attention span / interest during activities seem like?

She was attention span in her work to finish quickly and get some cubes to be the star of the week.

6.  What did the learner seem to like doing the most / least during the day?

I think the best part for the Wadha during the day is listening to the crazy song and dances with her friends. Also, coloring and play outside.
